8 DAYS FAMILY TOUR IN MOROCCO FROM MARRAKECH

FIRST DAY: MARRAKECH

Welcome to Morocco! After your transfer from the airport to our connecting hotel, you can unwind by the hotel pool until the pre-departure meeting at 18:00 hrs, when you will meet your tour leader and fellow travellers. Spend the night at a riad in Marrakech.

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE

After breakfast, we will go to Ouarzazate. After lunch, there is the choice of a visit of the film studios, known for films like Gladiator, The Last Temptation of Christ, and The Living Daylights, quad riding, or simply exploring Ouarzazate. Depending on available time, it may be possible to engage in more than one of these activities. Spend the night in Ouarzazate (Breakfast & Dinner included).

DAY 3: SAHARA DESERT

As we approach the towering Saharan Dunes, excitement fills the air. We stop for lunch along the way, and in the summer we may even have time for a swim. The next step is to travel to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where we will mount our camels and trek into the wide Sahara Desert in time for sunset. Then, we return to our real Berber camp at the edge of the desert, where we will spend the night savouring native cuisine, music, and an unforgettable night beneath the Saharan stars. Overnight in Berber camp (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included).

DAY 4: TODRA GORGE

After a delicious breakfast in the dunes, we leave the desert and stop along the way to visit ancient irrigation wells, where you can see how they were created by an intricate network of underground canals extending from the Atlas to the Sahara for more than 300 kilometres and dating back to the fourteenth century. We continue to the breathtaking Todra Gorge and have lunch at our hotel, which is surrounded by 300-meter-tall cliffs. After lunch, we have the option to explore the gorge or go rock climbing. We will visit Tizgui, one of the historic villages of Todra, and a local carpet cooperative where we will learn how to create Berber rugs and Moroccan tea. Stay the night at Todra Gorge (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included).

DAY 5: AIT BENHADDOU

This morning, we enjoy a leisurely departure from Todra as we make our way to Ait Benhaddou. We will stop at Kasbah Amridil along the road, popularly known as the road of a thousand Kasbahs. This is one of the finest examples of a Kasbah in Morocco, and it originally appeared on a 50 Dirham note. We arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou for lunch. This afternoon, we will enjoy a guided tour to Ait Benhaddou, a classic pre-Saharan habitat consisting of an earthen walled residence with surrounding walls and four corner towers. This evening, we will dine and take in the ambiance of this inspiring location. Overnight in Ait Benhaddou (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included).

SIXTH DAY: MARRAKECH

This morning, we will head for Marrakech over the enormous and majestic High Atlas Mountains. In the afternoon, you have the option of going on a 3-hour guided tour of Marrakech, which includes Bahia Palace, the Medina, a pharmacy visit, and a walk around the Koutoubia Mosque, or you can explore on your own. Enjoy a free night in Marrakech, experience the bustle of the medina, and dine in Djemaa el-Fna plaza. Stay the night in Marrakesh (Breakfast included).

7TH DAY: MARRAKECH

There is time today to take an optional hot air balloon trip before breakfast, to consider any other activities in the region, or to simply explore more of Marrakech's magnificent sights and drink up its incredible atmosphere. The hotel pool is a nice sight after a long day of sightseeing. The day concludes with our final group lunch in Djemaa-el-Fna, the famed main square filled with acrobats, snake charmers, and numerous outdoor restaurants. Stay the night in Marrakesh (Breakfast & Dinner included).

DAY 8: MARRAKECH

After breakfast, your adventure excursion concludes, and it is time to say farewell.
